The south west will be part of a federal government roll-out of new contraceptive resources for women across the country.
The Western Victoria Primary Health Network Limited has been chosen to deliver training to provide better access to safe, affordable, long-acting reversible contraception.
The federal government has chosen one a health network in each state to help deliver the investment.
The federal government has invested of $25.6 million into the program.
Warrnambool is one of four regional hubs for the Western Victoria Primary Health Network Limited, along with Geelong, Ballarat and Horsham.
Through the program, women will be able to access free advice and support about their contraceptive options.
It will also include the insertion and removal of IUDS and birth control implants, delivered by skilled providers, at no cost to the patient.
