The Great Ocean Road, Gellibrand Lower, is closed in both directions between Colac Lavers Hill Road and Fords Road due to a serious collision that is currently unfolding.
Drivers travelling between the Surf Coast and Port Campbell or Warrnambool should take an inland detour via the Princes Highway through Colac. This is a significant detour. Allow extra travel time.
This closure is under the control of emergency services and will reopen only when it is safe to do so.
It is believed that three vehicles are involved in the collision: two cars and a bus.
HEMS 4 has been dispatched, and there are believed to be multiple casualties, all in stable condition.
