FUNDING FOR VITAL PIECE OF EQUIPMENT CONTINUES

Small wins are helping South West Healthcare (SWH) move towards a big prize.

The fundraising campaign to purchase a Breast Tumour Locator System continues to gain momentum.

The Breast Tumour Locator System will be an invaluable piece of equipment for South West Healthcare, allowing the identification of breast lesions that cannot be felt by touch.

This potential life-saving piece of equipment comes at a cost of $120,000.

This target has been chipped away at in recent times, with a number of fundraising activities.

These included a fashion parade at Style 105 which raised $1225, donations from the Allansford CWA ($2,000) and IGA Warrnambool ($1,000), and $779 raffle proceeds from the SWH Women’s Health Unfiltered event in Allansford.

This has helped the amount raised climb to $86,079.

Upcoming fundraising events include a screening of the The Devil Wears Prada 2 on April 30 and an event at All Seasons Nursery on May 9.
