The push for a new surf club building for Warrnambool has taken another step forward.
In the latest plans, Warrnambool Surf Life Saving Club wishes to build a new facility just west of its current site.
The planned new headquarters has a price tag of $16 million and is part of a revised master plan by the club.
Warrnambool City Council has given in-principle support for the new site.
The master plan has been sent to the state government.
The push for new facilities has been going for a number of years, with the expanding club having out-grown its current home.
