Member for South West Coast, Roma Britnell has confirmed she is against the proposed offshore windfarm off the Coast of Warrnambool and Port Fairy, and has reiterated that she always has been.
It comes after constant online scrutiny from the No Offshore Windzone – South West Coast Alliance, claiming the local MP and her party refused to take a position on the issue.
A small gathering of the alliance staged a peaceful protest when State Liberal Leader Jess Wilson attended Warrnambool last month.
According to Roma, her position is 100% clear – she does not or ever has supported a proposed offshore wind zone in the region, and she isn’t sure why the group feels as though her position has changed.
