Fitzmedia Productions and the Warrnambool and District Football Netball League (WDFNL) confirm that the current WDFNL football and netball streaming arrangement will conclude following Round 8 of the 2026 season.
Fitzmedia Productions recently advised the WDFNL Board of its decision to bring the agreement to an early conclusion following a review of the commercial sustainability of the weekly broadcast model, including the ongoing costs associated with staffing, production, equipment, connectivity, and operational delivery.
Following discussions between the parties, the WDFNL Board accepted Fitzmedia’s decision, with the partnership to conclude following the completion of Round 8.
The final broadcast under the current arrangement will take place this Saturday, 30 May 2026, featuring the Heart Kids Round fixture between Allansford and Old Collegians.
Since its introduction, the Game Day product has provided supporters with an additional way to engage with local football and netball, while also increasing exposure for clubs, players, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners across the League.
Fitzmedia Productions and the WDFNL acknowledge the contribution the broadcast has made to the wider football and netball community and thank everyone who has supported the coverage throughout the partnership.
