FOUR TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AFTER EARLY MORNING ACCIDENT

Police are seeking information about a two-car collision that led four people to be taken to the hospital early Thursday morning.

Emergency Services were called to the intersection of Riverside Road and the Port Fairy – Hamilton Road just before 7am.

It’s alleged that one of the cars driving south veered onto the wrong side of the road, leading the second vehicle travelling north to take evasive action.

According to an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson, paramedics responded to an incident just before 7am.

“Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedics assessed and treated four patients at the scene,” the spokesperson said.

“A woman in her 50s and a woman in her 20s with upper body injuries were transported by road ambulance to Warrnambool Hospital in stable conditions.”

“A man in his 30s with upper body injuries and a teenage girl with an upper body injury were transported by road ambulance to Warrnambool Hospital in stable conditions.”

The CFA was also called, supported by FRV and arrived at the scene to find one vehicle steaming.

A CFA spokesperson said the incident was under control at 7:46am and deemed safe by 8:00am.

Police are seeking dashcam vision and asking for any witnesses to come forward.
