WARRNAMBOOL LEADER MEETS GOVERNOR GENERAL

Warrnambool multi-cultural association president Daisy Ye has taken part in an important networking exercise.

Ms Ye attended the 2026 Chinese-Australian Community Leaders Summit in Canberra.

She was one of 25 community leaders from across the country who attended.

These leaders came from fields such as  health, education, business and community development.

As part of the summit, Ms Yer got to meet the Governor General of Australia Sam Mostyn.

Ms Ye said the visit was a way of growing her civic knowledge.

“No matter whether we are first, second, or later generation migrants, we all share a collective responsibility in shaping the future of the communities we call home,” Ms Ye said.

“Through understanding, participation, and contribution, we help create a stronger Australia for everyone – a place where people from all backgrounds can live, work, belong, and thrive together.”
