RESPECTED ELDER PASSES AWAY

Gunditjmara Aboriginal Cooperative has issued a statement acknowledging the passing of much loved and respected Elder Aunty Laura Bell (nee Lovett). "Gunditjmara acknowledge the passing of Aunty Laura Bell (nee Lovett), a proud Gunditjmara Elder and respected community leader." it said.

A special meeting has been called by the Warrnambool RSL to move the organisation into voluntary administration from tomorrow, Tuesday March 11th 2026. South West Local News has received a screen shot of a text message, calling on the board to vote on the decision tomorrow morning before 10:30AM. According to sources close tothe organisation, South West Local News understands that a text message was sent to board members providing them less than 24 hours to decide.

FUEL TANKER FIRE AT CARAMUT
