Fire crews are responding to a fire in bush and scrubland at Pirron Yallock.
It was reported on the Princes Highway at the former Koala Motel site.
The fire is spreading uphill and growing in size.
Motorists travelling on the Princes Highway are advised to be vigilant.
At this stage the highway remains open, however its likely the situation could change.
