Freshly home from a flight from Kazakhstan and a bit more than 72 hours after breaking a world record, Bookaar’s Penny Smith was still beaming after an amazing effort at the ISSF World Championships.
However, breaking a record, and winning gold at the weekend isn’t going to amount to much, as she prepares for a big few years attempting to make another Olympic Games.
Smith shot a perfect 30 out of 30 targets at the World Cup last weekend, and while she is pretty excited about the achievement, she remains laser focussed on the ultimate goal.
Liam Fitzgerald had the opportunity to chat to Penny today from the studio, and as you can see – the weekend’s effort is just the start of a busy few months ahead.
