PUBLIC COMMENT SOUGHT ON ART

Community feedback is being sought on a proposed piece of public art for Port Fairy.

The piece in question is an Indigenous Truth-Telling Sculpture, which if it goes ahead, will stand four metres tall and be made of steel.

No costings have been done for the project, with council to seek external funding should the project be supported by the community.

It will be located at East Beach, and is part of the precinct master plan.

The sculpture design has been done by Eastern Marr artist Sherry Johnstone.

Community feedback to Moyne Shire Council will be accepted until October 9.
