One of Victoria’s biggest manhunts is over, with Dezi Freeman shot dead.
Freeman was shot by Victoria Police in the north-east of the state earlier this morning.
The 56-year-old had been on the run from police since August last year, after he allegedly shot and killed two police officers at his property in Porepunkah.
This triggered a large scale police operation to find him, with the fugitive avoiding capture until now.
