The platypus is one of Australia’s most beloved mammals, but to see them in the wild is a rare find.
So when the team from the Glenelg Hopkins CMA went out with
Austral Research and Consulting this morning, they didn’t know it was their lucky day.
The collaboration was in the Merri River at Woodford to check on the endangered Victorian River Blackfish, and instead stumbled across a platypus.
The team checked the little fella was well and then placed him back in the water.
