Locals and visitors are being urged to drive safely and respectfully in Tower Hill after some recent signs of disorder at the state game reserve.
The Koroit-based Mosswood Wildlife group has reported a kangaroo was hit and killed by a vehicle on the weekend.
The group said barricades to emergency vehicle tracks had been smashed to get vehicles onto them, while tyres marks on the main road through Tower Hill showed hoon driving had occurred.
The group is keen for Tower Hill to be closed at night to stop actions like these happening.
Sergeant Pat Day from Koroit police said people need to report any incidents in Tower Hill to police when they happen.
Sergeant Day said Koroit police carry out regular night time patrols in Tower Hill.
He said motorists going through the reserve need to ensure they are following the speed limit and be aware of wildlife.
