POLICE, FIRE CREWS CALLED TO BLAZE

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) and police were called to a fire in central Warrnambool late on Sunday night.

At 11.30pm, crews from FRV responded to a residence on Raglan Parade, after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.

Firefighters arrived on the scene within five minutes to find smoke and flames issuing from a single storey brick duplex.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters worked quickly to attack the blaze, containing it to a bedroom.

Warrnambool police also attended the scene and reported the two occupants inside the premises were evacuated and uninjured.

The exact cause of the fire is being investigated, but it is not being treated as suspicious.
