TOWN’S LIMITED ACCESS TO FUEL

A south west town has gone back in time when it comes to getting petrol.

The panic surrounding petrol supply due to the war in the Middle East has put the modern day 24/7 lifestyle on hold in Koroit.

In Koroit, the only place to get petrol is from the AG Warehouse store at the town’s eastern entry.

The store’s trading hours are Monday to Friday 8am-5pm, and Saturday’s 8am-3pm.

Outside of these hours, consumers are able to swipe and pay and get their own petrol as needed.

But the store has made the call to disable after hours fuel service until further notice.

It states the reason that the store has experienced extreme levels of panic buying due to the situation in the Middle East.

The reasoning for the weekend block of fuel supply was left on a notice on petrol bowsers at the store over the weekend.

“This decision was made to ensure we can manage our daily fuel allocations and continue to supply fuel to our regular customers and the local community,” the message from AG Warehouse said.
