A special meeting has been called by the Warrnambool RSL to move the organisation into voluntary administration from tomorrow, Wednesday March 11th 2026.
South West Local News has received a screen shot of a text message, calling on the board to vote on the decision tomorrow morning before 10:30AM.
The motion to be tabled is as follows.
“We the board of the Warrnambool RSL Sub Branch agree/disagree to move into voluntary administration commencing Wednesday March 11 2026”.
According to sources close to the organisation, South West Local News understands that a text message was sent to board members providing them less than 24 hours to decide.

It’s also alleged that RSL Victoria is also unaware of the meeting that is set to take place tomorrow morning at 9:30.
The Warrnambool RSL has more than 2,500 members, with the AGM planned for March 29th.
Sources in contact with this masthead are extremely concerned about what this means for the RSL, it’s user groups and most importantly the veterans it serves.
