WORKS UNDERWAY ON BRIDGE

The Hopkins River bridge remains open despite works to replace bearings.

These works are part of routine maintenance and helps retain the integrity of the bridge’s structure.

The original bearings lasted for 25 years, with the new ones made out of stainless steel.

The work can be done by Warrnambool City Council without any changes to pedestrian or vehicle access.
