Well done to well known south west Leading Senior Constable Greg Kew, who has helped save a little Joey’s life.
Leading Senior Constable Kew, who is stationed in Halls Gap, was called to a collision on Grampians Road, Bellfield.
Unfortunately, a kangaroo didn’t survive the collision, but after conducting a pouch check, Leading Senior Constable Kew found this little guy alive and well. The uninjured Joey was rescued and conveyed to a local Wildlife Rescue Shelter, where he is expected to make a full recovery.
And as a fitting end to the tale, the Joey has been named Greg.
