A big change is on the way for Allansford residents, with the town’s bridge to close for an extended period.
Warrnambool City Council has announced the Ziegler Parade bridge will be closed for 12 weeks.
The bridge will close to all traffic from Monday, February 23, and is expected to re-open in mid-May.
Works will be done to the underside of the deck and all structural components.
The works form part of council’s commitment to spend up to $400,000 to maintain the bridge up to the end of 2029.
