The task of keeping Warrnambool’s main indoor pool facility safe and afloat will continue with repair works now scheduled.
Warrnambool City Council will put in $800,000 to have repairs works done on the roof of the indoor pool area.
The works will happen later in the year, most likely November, when the outdoor pool in open.
It is expected the repairs will take six weeks to complete.
While repairs will continue as needed going forward, council continues to push for major funding for a large-scale upgrade of the facility.
It is believed the current facility has a remaining life span of two decades.
