V/Line services will be free for south west residents during the month of April.
This comes as part of a state government announcement that all public transport will be free in Victoria across metropolitan areas, and V/Line services.
“Because its temporary, its affordable,” Premier Jacinta Allan said.
“It’ll take pressure off the pump and take more cars off the road.
“It won’t solve all the problems but its an immediate step to help Victorians right now.”
