POOL INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY

Information is being gathered to guide the future of the Belfast Aquatics community pool in Port Fairy.

Moyne Shire Council has funded a technical investigation which has now been underway for two weeks.

The pool shell, concrete concourse, plant room, portal frames and roof components have all been inspected.

Moyne mayor Cr Jordan Lockett said further works were continuing on-site ahead of the preparation of a report, including quantity and cost estimates.

“The final report will be presented to Council at the Ordinary Council Meeting in May 2026 and will be available to the public,” said Cr Lockett.

The pool was closed in November, with council taking over responsibility for the facility in January.
