A piece of Warrnambool history is now available for purchase.
Warrnambool City Council is calling for expressions of interest for the purchase and removal of a 57.4m x 59m x 5m roof and supporting structure from the old Warrnambool Saleyards site in Caramut Road.
The structure is galvanised steel, with a galvanised roof with a zinc finish.
Removal of the structure will require a demolition permit from a building surveyor.
The Warrnambool Saleyards ceased operation in June 2023.
The saleyards had been on this site since 1970, having moved from Raglan Parade in the heart of the city.
