A busy south west highway is playing a role in the investigation into the death of an 84-year-old man.
Detectives from the Homicide Squad are appealing for dashcam footage from anyone who was travelling along the Henty Highway between between 10pm on Sunday, March 15 and 1am on Monday, March 16.
The section of the Henty Highway in question is between Horsham and Byrneville.
It is part of the police investigation into the death of a man in Jung last week.
The appeal follows an incident where emergency services were called to reports of a man’s body located off the Henty Highway in Jung near Finlayson Road at about 9.15am on March 16.
The deceased suffered a fatal assault and died at the scene.
A 49-year-old man has since been charged with one count of murder.
He was remanded to appear at Horsham Magistrates’ Court on 22 July.
