CFA Crews are responding to a fire in the rear tyre of a fuel tanker loaded with more than 29,000 litres of fuel onboard.
The truck is in the left hand lane of the Caramut Chatsworth Road.
It’s understood the truck tyre was well alight upon arrival.
Crews have managed to extinguish the fire, and are continuing to pour water onto the truck to cool it down.
The truck is believed to be carrying diesel and unleaded fuel.
Traffic diversion will be in place, and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible
