Corangamite mayor Kate Makin has gone to the top to express the concerns of her ratepayers around wind farms.
Cr Makin travelled to Melbourne to meet with minister for planning Sonya Kilkenny.
The pair discussed the wind farms in Corangamite shire which have applications open at the moment.
Cr Makin said it was important for the minister to hear the local concerns around the wind farms, particularly those outside the renewable zones areas.
The mayor also questioned the lack of community consultation on the issue.
