Police arrested a 54-year-old man after several people were stabbed in Warrnambool yesterday.
It’s alleged the man, of no fixed address, assaulted a 39-year-old woman and 42-year-old man on Wanstead Street about 3.30pm.
A 39-year-old man heard the altercation and came to the aid of the victims when he was allegedly stabbed.
The trio ran to a Wooles Avenue home where the 66-year-old occupant confronted the offender and was also stabbed.
Police attended and arrested the alleged offender at the scene.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to unrelated injuries, where he remains under police guard.
Two of the victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
