Warrnambool City Council has announced its 2026 Warrnambool Citizen of the Year Award winners.
The Citizen of the Year is Dr Barry Morphett, who has played a leading role in medical training at Deakin University, Warrnambool Campus and South West Healthcare.
Warrnambool College student Meekah Merriman is the Youth Citizen of the Year.
Bruce Morton from the Warrnambool Toy Library has won the Local Achiever Award.
Warrnambool Surf Life Saving Club has won the Community Event of the Year for its hosting of the Victoria Senior State Championships.
The winners will be officially recognised at an award ceremony on Friday January 23 from 6pm at the Warrnambool Stadium.
