Nominations ahead of the 53rd Flying Horse Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic have reached 66, with more to be announced in coming days.
On time nominations closed yesterday, and already the field features a Stella line up on National and International stars.
Leading the Australian assault is reigning Champ James McFadden, who will be hoping to win his Team Brady back to back Classics.
It follows a break through year for McFadden who returned to Australia last season, notching up the Classic/Australian Title double.
There is also a solid showing of eight American Raiders set to try their luck at Australia’s most lucrative event outside the national title, which will be worn $60,000 this year.
Among the Americans are two former classic champions in Aaron Reutzel and Tim Kaeding, who became famous for his ultimate post race celebration which led to him flipping the Sprintcar after celebrating his win.
So far 19 Victorian teams are nominated, however there will be more added to the list this week once the nominations are finalised.
