HIKER WINCHED TO SAFETY IN GRAMPIANS

SES Crews, combined with Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria to help assist an injured hiker on the Pinnacle Track yesterday.

Emergency services responded to reports of an injured hiker at Pinnacle Lookout on Silverband Road in Halls Gap at about 12.30pm.

SES teams from Ararat and Stawell were called to assist Victoria Police locate the woman before the HEMS 4 Helicopter from Warrnambool was able to winch her to safety.

The woman who was in her 40’s was airlifted to Hospital for further treatment.
