The committee of the Allansford Football Netball Club, as proud custodians of the Surf T Surf, sadly wish to advise our thousands of participants, generous sponsors, and tireless volunteers that we will not be hosting the event in 2026. A combination of factors, including limited volunteer hours, funding pressures, and other external challenges, has led to this difficult decision.
The Surf T Surf began 43 years ago as a simple preseason hit-out for our footballers and has since grown into something far greater – an event that welcomed visitors from near and far, brought families and friends together, and showcased the beauty of our town and its facilities.
This decision has not been made lightly. Every avenue was explored to keep the event alive, but at its heart the Surf T Surf has always relied on volunteers, and we cannot ask more than what so many have already given.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the many race directors and their teams over the years, whose dedication turned months of preparation into a few magical hours of running and walking. Most of all, thank you to everyone who ran, jogged, strolled, sweated, or simply gathered with mates along the way. Together we’ve shared countless highlights, supported wonderful charities, and built memories that will last far beyond race day.
