Another huge south west connection to this week’s AFL grand final, with South Warrnambool export Jonathan Brown given a special honour.
The former Hampden league coach has been chosen to present the premiership cup should his beloved Brisbane Lions defeat Geelong.
Brown is a legend at Brisbane, having played in the club’s famous premiership three-peat in the early 2000s.
Brown’s long time coach, Leigh Matthews, announced that the Lions board had been bestowed the honour on Brown.
